YFC(Yamashita Flat Cable)

Our YFC series was developed as a flexible flat cable substitute to FFC.The biggest features are that customers can order the quantity they need, it enables inventory-less, and there is no initial cost, making it possible to manufacture at a lower cost than standard FPCs. The cable length can be specified as required (up to 420mm).

Characteristics of YFC

It has excellent flexibility and bending resistance, and can be used for moving parts and three-dimensionally assembled and wired. Gold plating and tin copper plating (lead-free solder plating) can be applied for terminals, and the product is RoHS compliant.

SFC(Shield Flexible Cable)

This is made by applying a shield film to YFC, and is essential when EMC measures are required. Since the thin film is applied as the shield film, flexibility is not impaired.

RFC(Radio Frequency Coplanar cable)

RFC is a high performance type of YFC series. A liquid crystal polymer (LCP), which is a low dielectric material, is used for base film to reduce transmission loss. Two types of insulation are available, one using polyimide film (RFC1) and the other using liquid crystal polymer (LCP) film (RFC2). Its feature is that it has the best flexibility among our LVDS-compatible flat cable due to its coplanar structure with single-sided wiring.

RFS(Radio Frequency Stripline cable)

Same as RFC, a liquid crystal polymer (LCP), which is a low dielectric material, is used for base film to reduce transmission loss. Since shield film is used, it is most suitable when EMC measures are required. Mesh GND is applied to improve flexibility.

RFM(Radio Frequency Microstripline cable)

Our RFM is a high performance type of the very popular YFC series. A liquid crystal polymer (LCP), which is a low dielectric material, is used for base film to reduce transmission loss. There are 4 types of RFM, each specification is shown in the table below. Two types of insulation are available, liquid crystal polymer (LCP) film and polyimide film. Insulation using liquid crystal polymer can further reduce transmission loss.
They can be selected depending on the users’ purposes.

YFC SERIES Convex-concave terminal type YFC0T/YFC0K

Depending on the connector specifications, a convex surface and a concave surface, which are lock structures for the terminals, are provided. It is ideal for preventing a connector from coming off when used in a vibrating environment, when used for a device subjected to tension, or when twisting is applied to the drive part.Cables can be made with the length (max 340mm), number of cores, and pitch as you specified.
